SummaryA voluntary federal certification scheme administered by the Clean Energy Regulator (CER), launched 3 November 2025 under the Future Made in Australia (Guarantee of Origin) Act 2024. It issues digital certificates — Renewable Electricity Guarantee of Origin (REGO) certificates for power, and Product Guarantee of Origin (PGO) certificates for hydrogen and other products — that verify when, where and how low-emission products and electricity were produced. A registered PGO certificate is a mandatory condition for claiming the HPTI.
